Memorable Night

Its on the 16th September, the 8 of us, +1 small fart means 9 of us celebrated William and Shiat Hui's birthday together in Wong Kok Char Chan Teng. Well, we skiped tuition to do so =)

Went there around 8.00pm night and ppl who attended was Me, William, Wei Chun, Lik Man, Nigel, Jia Kent, Shiat Teen, Shiat Hui, Shiang Leng. Because it was williams birthday on that day , we got the super big big jug of drink for us =)

It was a great night, why ?

Well, we played and made noise in wong kok then decided to leave at 10pm. But it was too early so we traveled to another place . Island Cafe. Went there and drank again !! had some card games and a few dumb games of uno stacks. Shiat Teen's mom came down to join us because Shiat Teen and Hui wouldn't want to leave so soon. Its quite nice spending time together like this while our trials are still on !! haha. Shiat Hui kept laughing and laughing i don't know why, maybe she got high on william. Shiat Teen's mom kept calling me cartoon , well so does she. wth man ?! haha. Oh yea, in wong kok we was wanting a bonding session so we 9 people didn't want to split apart in that long sofa. So we decided to cram all into one table. meaning 4 person on one sofa ~ it was like grinding and rubbing and squezing around there =)
Well, atleast i had alot of fun. not easy organising this outing. went home around 12 am.

Now gotta decide to go for prom of expedition ! sigh.

More photo's coming up tmr. gotta get them from nigel and william.

Attempt 1# couldn't finish in one gulp =) noob

Look at shiat hui's expression behind there.

Shiat Teen took the drink away. that jug is larger than her head !!

don noe who took this pic~ candid.

oh, i forgot to mention.. because of that big jug of tea that is free, i couldn't sleep at night !! till 3 am !! i know i'm not the only one hehe...

Happy Birthday to Shiat Hui whom will be celebrating her 15th birthday today.
Well, we bought her somethings.. basicly we bought her shirts. =)
Me, Jia kent, S Teen, S Hui, and kah lin walked home again today.
But, today was different. We went to Tai Gong for lunch =) well, what can i say ? As usual, the girls just can't stop laughing and its quite contageous. S Teen's mom say i look like a CARTOON !! which part i wonder.~

Friend

For the form 5's in my school, we're all having SPM trials now. Most of us are surprisingly studying with every wisdom we have. At this point, some may think that life is stress and tough. But never forget a friend is always there. Open your eyes .

This is becase , ' Friends are God's way of taking care of us. Friendship doubles your joys, and divides your sorrows. '

A friend is someone we turn to when our spirits need a lift.A friend is someone we treasure for our friendship is a gift. A friend is someone who fills our lives with beauty, joy, and grace and makes the whole world we live in a better and happier place

I believe in angels,
The kind that heaven sends,
I am surrounded by angels,
But I call them friends.

Never neglect and giving up in despair towards your precious friends. Especially those that grew up with you or growing up with you for years. Spending most of the times together. Peaking up troubles and smilling through happy times. Never let the slightest thing get in between. Keep on fighting to stay together, stay strong ! Time will have to come to an end someday, why not enjoy every breath of exitement, sight of joy and touch of love.

ps~ Live life to the maximum

Friday, 12 September 2008

Well, it was quite a nice day today~
Morning weather was kind to us, had the worst exam for now, BM and SEJARAH.
I finish my Sejarah so quick, almost the whole class did. Everyone was so bored with the extra 30 minutes to spare. Each has something to do. Me, ? I did these~ taking pictures !!!

Jia kent sleeping after paper.

Nigel playing with him self.

Lik man talking to Rayce >>>>

LOL.. the guy without shoes for the whole day!

Its Daniel. His shoes are both wet, so he took it out during exam

Was then walking home with Shiat Teen, Shiat Hui, and Kah Lin.. Saw Kah Lin's two doggies in her house. Their both cute. haha.

After splitting, walked alone and saw this parking beside. SL55 AMG !! Its infront of a workshop.

GOD its nice !!

First Beam in the LHC - Accelerating in science

Geneva, 10 September 2008. The first beam in the Large Hadron Collider at CERN1 was successfully steered around the full 27 kilometres of the world’s most powerful particle accelerator at 10h28 this morning. This historic event marks a key moment in the transition from over two decades of preparation to a new era of scientific discovery.

“It’s a fantastic moment,” said LHC project leader Lyn Evans, “we can now look forward to a new era of understanding about the origins and evolution of the universe.”

Starting up a major new particle accelerator takes much more than flipping a switch. Thousands of individual elements have to work in harmony, timings have to be synchronized to under a billionth of a second, and beams finer than a human hair have to be brought into head-on collision. Today’s success puts a tick next to the first of those steps, and over the next few weeks, as the LHC’s operators gain experience and confidence with the new machine, the machine’s acceleration systems will be brought into play, and the beams will be brought into collision to allow the research programme to begin.

Once colliding beams have been established, there will be a period of measurement and calibration for the LHC’s four major experiments, and new results could start to appear in around a year. Experiments at the LHC will allow physicists to complete a journey that started with Newton's description of gravity. Gravity acts on mass, but so far science is unable to explain the mechanism that generates mass. Experiments at the LHC will provide the answer. LHC experiments will also try to probe the mysterious dark matter of the universe – visible matter seems to account for just 5% of what must exist, while about a quarter is believed to be dark matter. They will investigate the reason for nature's preference for matter over antimatter, and they will probe matter as it existed at the very beginning of time.

“The LHC is a discovery machine,” said CERN Director General Robert Aymar, “its research programme has the potential to change our view of the Universe profoundly, continuing a tradition of human curiosity that’s as old as mankind itself.”

Tributes have been coming in from laboratories around the world that have contributed to today’s success.

“The completion of the LHC marks the start of a revolution in particle physics,” said Pier Oddone, Director of the US Fermilab. “We commend CERN and its member countries for creating the foundation for many nations to come together in this magnificent enterprise. We appreciate the support that DOE and NSF have provided throughout the LHC's construction. We in the US are proud to have contributed to the accelerator and detectors at the LHC, together with thousands of colleagues around the world with whom we share this quest.”

“I congratulate you on the start-up of the Large Hadron Collider,” said Atsuto Suzuki, Director of Japan’s KEK laboratory, “This is a historical moment.”

“It has been a fascinating and rewarding experience for us,” said Vinod C. Sahni, Director of India’s Raja Ramanna Centre for Advanced Technology, “I extend our best wishes to CERN for a productive run with the LHC machine in the years to come.”

“As some might say: ‘One short trip for a proton, but one giant leap for mankind!’ TRIUMF, and indeed all of Canada, is delighted to bear witness to this amazing feat,” said Nigel S. Lockyer, Director of Canada’s TRIUMF laboratory. “Everyone has been involved but CERN is to be especially congratulated for bringing the world together to embark on such an incredible adventure.”

In a visit to CERN shortly before the LHC’s start-up United Nations Secretary General, Ban Ki-moon said: “I am very honored to visit CERN, an invaluable scientific institution and a shining example what international community can achieve through joint efforts and contribution. I convey my deepest admiration to all the scientists and wish them all the success for their research for peaceful development of scientific progress.”
1 CERN, the European Organization for Nuclear Research, is the world's leading laboratory for particle physics. It has its headquarters in Geneva. At present, its Member States are Austria, Belgium, Bulgaria, the Czech Republic, Denmark, Finland, France, Germany, Greece, Hungary, Italy, Netherlands, Norway, Poland, Portugal, Slovakia, Spain, Sweden, Switzerland and the United Kingdom. India, Israel, Japan, the Russian Federation, the United States of America, Turkey, the European Commission and UNESCO have Observer status.

End of The World ?

Is the end of the world near the reef of our life?
Scientists and engineers from 80 countries gathered, almost 8000 of them involved and about 14 billion£ being spared with a 20 staggering years of time to put this experiment together. This is THE WORLD LARGEST EXPERIMENT. Read up the newspaper to understand more about the LARGE HADRON COLLIDER (LHC).

The aim for this experiment is to find another smaller particle than Hydrogen. Hydrogen was discovered and was clarified to be the smallest particle in the world. So now, they are trying to find another particle smaller than Hydrogen by colliding two hydrogen particle to break down into smaller particles. Its like trying to find the small bits of bullets when two guns shot at each other. This is a new discovery if it succeeds. Or, this experiment also was ment to find out how big bang is formed.~

Some say this could be the end of the world if it explodes. But no one knows because at the maximum velocity means 99.99% of light, the wiehgt of the proton is 7000 times heavier. . From a circle of a few metres, to 7km, to 27km of tunnel was made with the time of 20 years. The largest 27km circumference tunnel stretching from France and Switzerland will be filled with protons travelling at almost the speed of light with the help of magnetic charges.

The test was carried out on the 10th September which is today but it was just a test run. The main full power collision will be carried out at the end of October.

This video explains it all.

This time, its the Signature. They are great. really funny

George Sampson~ 14 years old in 2008
This is a story of a young boy in Britain. He participated in Britain Got Talent 2007 at the age of 13. He was a street dancer with talent. But just not good enough to compete with the others.
He was a fighter, for a year, he went to Manchester Street and many other streets to perform to imrove him self. There, he collected money from people to help his lighten his single mother's burden. He was brought up by a single mother with not much of a luxury in life but he did not give up. After one year of effort and time, he came back to Britain Got Talent 2008. Its touching knowing his story, but now, he has won the 100,000£ and earn himself a performance in the Royal Variety Show.Well, this is a video of his final performance. Its a marvelous dance and performance.

i wish i could dance like him. check out Britain Got Talent in youtube for a group called ' signature ' who also made it to the finals. There are great dancers too. Michael jackson fans. really nice moves.
Oh well, my trials will begin on the 8th september continuously for 3 weeks. So, will be slacking on blogs. Will post more after my trials.
